A World-Class Performance in Being Wrong Rodri offers Robert

Robert,
I’d like to take a moment to celebrate my world-class performance lately. Naturally, I decided to take your genuine, helpful advice and treat it like a personal challenge to see how quickly I could make things awkward. It’s a truly impressive talent I have—turning a well-intentioned moment into a complete misunderstanding. Most people would just say “thanks” and move on, but obviously, I felt the need to provide a much more complicated and unnecessary reaction for everyone involved.
It’s clear to anyone with a functioning brain that you were coming from a good place. You were actually trying to be helpful, which was a real tactical error on your part considering who you were dealing with. I’ve spent some time reflecting on my response and I’ve concluded that my behavior was nothing short of brilliant, if the goal was to look like I have no idea how to handle a bit of parental wisdom.
Anyway, I’m done being an idiot about this for the day. I really do respect you, despite my best efforts to make it look otherwise through my recent behavior. I know you were just trying to look out for me, and I managed to fumble the delivery.
I’m sorry for the way I handled things.
