Terms of Use

Xpology (the product) is a place to write a moment of repair — an apology, a thank-you, a closure, a forgiveness. Each one you publish is also called an Xpology, and lives at its own public URL that anyone with the link can read.

Depending on the sender's selection during creation, an Xpology may be public or private. Public Xpologies can be viewed by anyone with the link, while private Xpologies are only accessible to their intended recipients.

To create an Xpology, you'll need a verified account using your email address or Google. Reading public Xpologies, exploring the Collective, and viewing public portfolios do not require an account.

Your verified account helps preserve trust by ensuring every published Xpology has a real sender behind it. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything published from your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Xpology. If you're under the age of digital consent where you live, please use Xpology with a parent or guardian.

Reading is public. Participation requires a verified account.

You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing an Xpology, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and share it so the product can work — rendering the page, generating a cover image, and making the link previewable elsewhere.

Write from your own experience. Don't publish private information about other people (addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers, intimate images), don't impersonate anyone, and don't use Xpology to harass, threaten, or shame. The full list lives in our Content Policy.

Anyone can report an Xpology. If you're the person it's addressed to, you can ask for it to be taken down directly from the page. We may hide or remove anything that breaks our Content Policy. We try to be fair and human about it — we're not always fast.

Xpology includes an AI writing companion called the Oracle. Oracle helps explore different ways to express your thoughts, but every Xpology remains your own decision. You choose what to publish, and you're responsible for everything shared under your name.

Xpology is offered as-is during this early access period. Features and limits may change, and things may occasionally break. We don't promise that the service will always be available, or that data will never be lost. We aren't liable for indirect damages arising from your use of the product.

You can stop using Xpology at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that repeatedly break these Terms or our Content Policy. If we remove your account, your public Xpologies may be removed with it.

We'll update these Terms as Xpology grows. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
